Branded Window Frosting – Stylish Office Privacy
An enduring strength of the products and services that we offer is that quite often a simple variation on a classic theme can deliver impressive outcomes.
One such impressive outcome is adding a branded cut out design to traditional office window frosting – which, in a cost-effective manner, adds a stylish sophistication to a workspace.
This simple solution allows you to avoid the ordinary while being informative. It is the perfect blend of privacy and thoughtfulness, as you are left with a premier example of discrete and reasonable branding.
This type of office signage also has the benefit of scalability. Conditional upon the needs of your company, we can do subtle cuts, or floor-to-ceiling cutout logos.
With the type of smart design approach we pride ourselves on here at Sydney Signs Portal, you too can experience an inspired office life, thanks to the elevated aesthetic this stylish product delivers.
Akamai Project
This project was a fantastic opportunity for Sydney Signs Portal to showcase the range of our favourite products, as well as the versatility of our team in applying varying media to solutions commonly sought by our clientele. This included: 3D reception signage, office wall graphics, window frosting with computer cut design, logo signs for glass doors (vinyl decals), acrylic panels, office room name signage.
On this occasion the 3D reception signage was bolstered with extra volume – giving it added impact. It was custom painted in the company colours.
The window frosting at the entrance utilised a barcode design. This curious approach imbues the space with a sense of creativity, while also reflecting the company’s digital enterprise.
Some exquisite detail accompanied the room name signs. Stunning digital graphics of Australian native plans adorned the timber doors – a lovely touch.
Monochrome wall graphics with cartoonish drawn Sydney cityscapes were an impressive feature installed in several large office areas. These spectacular wall graphics invite your mind and creativity to flow beyond the walls of your workspace.

Function and Focus: One-Way Vision Business Branding
There is so much to love about this spectacular project we installed at a gym in Silverwater, Sydney. Grand in scale, one-way vision window graphics spanning 8 metres, comprising one continuous image, covering the entire facade.
Each of the large letters of the sign are man height and can be viewed from a great distance, perfectly taking advantage of the windows and glass door of the business frontage.
A multilayered effect was achieved perfectly.
For those outsides, the graphics create the impression that the entire gym is being viewed, when, in fact, the privacy of those within is actually being protected.
For those on the inside, the one-way vision film provides them with a view of the outside world, while enjoying the discretion of not having the outside world look in upon them.
The use of a one-way vision also rewards with an energy saving effect. The window graphics ensure the internal space remains cool by blocking the sun and heat – a particularly useful benefit for a gym.
We think this project perfectly showcases the impact and function that one-way vision graphics offer. Please take advantage of our experience with one-way vision by contacting Sydney Signs Portal today.
Manly Health Centre Project – The Forgotten Art of Simplicity
When you are part of a team that is blessed with innovative skill, it is often tempting to mine that rich vein of creative talent for all the projects you are presented with. But there are times when it is important to remind oneself that we don’t always need to reinvent the wheel.
And such was the case when Manly Health Centre reached out to us to design and install a large 3D sign for their reception wall. This was an opportunity for us to call upon classic business signage aesthetic: minimalist in approach without distractions.
The white acrylic lettering against the dark-grey wall offers perfect contrast. A crisp, clearly-defined announcement that conveys certainty and reassurance.
And the large 3D letters carry weight and imbue the setting with a sense of importance.
This type of business signage is a great example of effectiveness through simplicity.
The other component of this project was window frosting.
There are few places where privacy is of greater importance than a visit to the doctor. So this project would see Sydney Signs Portal installing classic quality privacy window frosting throughout the entire clinic.
We utilised a combination of fully frosted and partially-frosted techniques – depending on the client’s requirements for each space.
Fully-frosted glass provides 100% privacy, while still allowing the luxury of 95% of daylight to pass through. Partial frosting can protect certain rooms from unwanted eyes, or limit distractions while ensuring the space remains non-claustrophobic.
And, at the end of the day, all of these elements combine perfectly when installed to the high professional standards that are the trademark of Sydney Signs Portal.
True Vision with One-Way Vision, Perforated Window Graphics
It is such a wonderful advantage to be able to print window graphics onto see-through perforated film – displaying branding or graphics, providing privacy, while at the same time allowing an interior view on the outside world. And, yet, it remains a medium that is incredibly underutilised in the Sydney signage scene.
So, in an attempt to do justice to one way vision film’s versatility, we would like to share with you a recent example of how to take advantage of it with truly impressive results.
Once again, we were fortunate to be working with a returning client. The image used was a photo taken using an iPhone of a guitar from Australia’s internationally successful band, Peking Duck.
The installation spanned 15m, across 6 windows on the Plus U building in the Sydney CBD. The use of black and white window graphics is always striking, but is particularly effective when applied to see-through perforated film.
The completed installation is one of the more awe-inspiring examples of one-way vision window graphics you will find in Sydney. We can only hope that it inspires others to take advantage of its potential, and, in the process, elevate the Sydney signage landscape.
Think Big or go Home: The Spectacular Art of Window Decals
One of the benefits of earning the trust of a client through producing consistently high quality results across numerous projects, is having the opportunity to work on the type of bold projects that we relish being contacted for.
And such was the case when Think Brick reached out to us for our 4th project with them, having previously worked on: a complicated printed frosting and printed whiteboard; a company event at the Hyatt hotel on Sydney harbour; an expanse of motivational wall decals, between windows that run the length of the office. But this 4th project would see us taking on a truly spectacular design that would transform their North Sydney workspace.
The intricate mosaic style office window decals required exhaustive planning throughout the design process. As the intent was to create a double-sided office interior, we needed to install a block-out film to ensure the graphics on the underside of the glass could not be seen. This allowed us to seamlessly feature window graphics and signage on either side of the glass.
The scale of this project becomes all the more apparent given that each small triangle is an individual window sticker, composed of a combination of computer cut window decals and digital print graphics to achieve the desired effect.
The meticulous production involved three people over three days, painstakingly aligning each individual triangle. Remarkably, our dedicated team at Sydney Signs Portal, still managed to complete the entire production and installation within a week.
We consider it a privilege to push the boundaries when it comes to window decals and office signs in Sydney. We hope you are suitably inspired to breathe life into your workspace in a similarly spectacular fashion. We await your contact today.
Maximising workspace functionality with custom whiteboards
Gone are the days of an office whiteboard being a cumbersome, intrusive, fixed-size addition to your office. An evolution has taken place, where custom sizing, functionality and seamless inclusion are all now possible.
We love nothing more than seeing a workspace transformed in a way that takes advantage of a product’s potential. And such was the case when engineering and construction powerhouse, Bechtel, reached out to us to realise their vision of a workspace whiteboard Utopia.
Within open office spaces, meeting rooms, enclosed offices, boardrooms and storerooms – whiteboard that extended from knee height to well above head height, spanning 50 metres in length was installed. The largest single whiteboard was 7 metres in length, installed in an open office area.
To complete the aesthetic, each whiteboard will eventually be framed with aluminium strip holder.
We also installed window frosting, adding frosting strips to some of the exposed glass.
This project represents and embodies why we strive so hard to innovate within the signage industry. You will see no better example of the functionality of a workspace being maximised with custom whiteboard inclusions -at least, not until we next outdo ourselves.
And perhaps that will be with your project?
Our dedicated team at Sydney Signs Portal awaits your contact.
Your window to the world of business opportunities: glass print one way see through film
Looking to create impact with your front of business marketing? Perhaps privacy or security is required for your location? The beauty of glass print one way see through film is that it offers both these solutions and much more.
What is it and how does it work?
One-way vision film is printable perforated self-adhesive vinyl. When viewed from the outside, the public can see a graphic window print, displaying your marketing or branding. But its truly amazing quality is that anyone inside the window, looking out, can see the outside world. It achieves this by taking advantage of human optics.
Our eye is naturally drawn to brighter colours. The graphic is printed onto the white vinyl film surface, while the holes are not white or printed, so remain darker. This means that when the graphic window print is viewed from the outside it appears solid, but with the adhesive side being dark, when viewed from the inside, our eyes are drawn to the bright, outside world.
And while it works on any scale, what this fantastic product allows you to do is think big when it comes to your graphic window print. Having your entire business front window covered in glass print one way see through film will give you incredible presence, and enable you to dominate the otherwise crowded Sydney advertising space.
Please contact our experienced team at Sydney Signs Portal today to take advantage of this wonderful marketing opportunity.
