An enduring strength of the products and services that we offer is that quite often a simple variation on a classic theme can deliver impressive outcomes.
One such impressive outcome is adding a branded cut out design to traditional office window frosting – which, in a cost-effective manner, adds a stylish sophistication to a workspace.
This simple solution allows you to avoid the ordinary while being informative. It is the perfect blend of privacy and thoughtfulness, as you are left with a premier example of discrete and reasonable branding.
This type of office signage also has the benefit of scalability. Conditional upon the needs of your company, we can do subtle cuts, or floor-to-ceiling cutout logos.
With the type of smart design approach we pride ourselves on here at Sydney Signs Portal, you too can experience an inspired office life, thanks to the elevated aesthetic this stylish product delivers.
This project was a fantastic opportunity for Sydney Signs Portal to showcase the range of our favourite products, as well as the versatility of our team in applying varying media to solutions commonly sought by our clientele. This included: 3D reception signage, office wall graphics, window frosting with computer cut design, logo signs for glass doors (vinyl decals), acrylic panels, office room name signage.
On this occasion the 3D reception signage was bolstered with extra volume – giving it added impact. It was custom painted in the company colours.
The window frosting at the entrance utilised a barcode design. This curious approach imbues the space with a sense of creativity, while also reflecting the company’s digital enterprise.
Some exquisite detail accompanied the room name signs. Stunning digital graphics of Australian native plans adorned the timber doors – a lovely touch.
Monochrome wall graphics with cartoonish drawn Sydney cityscapes were an impressive feature installed in several large office areas. These spectacular wall graphics invite your mind and creativity to flow beyond the walls of your workspace.

When you are part of a team that is blessed with innovative skill, it is often tempting to mine that rich vein of creative talent for all the projects you are presented with. But there are times when it is important to remind oneself that we don’t always need to reinvent the wheel.
And such was the case when Manly Health Centre reached out to us to design and install a large 3D sign for their reception wall. This was an opportunity for us to call upon classic business signage aesthetic: minimalist in approach without distractions.
The white acrylic lettering against the dark-grey wall offers perfect contrast. A crisp, clearly-defined announcement that conveys certainty and reassurance.
And the large 3D letters carry weight and imbue the setting with a sense of importance.
This type of business signage is a great example of effectiveness through simplicity.
The other component of this project was window frosting.
There are few places where privacy is of greater importance than a visit to the doctor. So this project would see Sydney Signs Portal installing classic quality privacy window frosting throughout the entire clinic.
We utilised a combination of fully frosted and partially-frosted techniques – depending on the client’s requirements for each space.
Fully-frosted glass provides 100% privacy, while still allowing the luxury of 95% of daylight to pass through. Partial frosting can protect certain rooms from unwanted eyes, or limit distractions while ensuring the space remains non-claustrophobic.
And, at the end of the day, all of these elements combine perfectly when installed to the high professional standards that are the trademark of Sydney Signs Portal.
Gone are the days of an office whiteboard being a cumbersome, intrusive, fixed-size addition to your office. An evolution has taken place, where custom sizing, functionality and seamless inclusion are all now possible.
We love nothing more than seeing a workspace transformed in a way that takes advantage of a product’s potential. And such was the case when engineering and construction powerhouse, Bechtel, reached out to us to realise their vision of a workspace whiteboard Utopia.
Within open office spaces, meeting rooms, enclosed offices, boardrooms and storerooms – whiteboard that extended from knee height to well above head height, spanning 50 metres in length was installed. The largest single whiteboard was 7 metres in length, installed in an open office area.
To complete the aesthetic, each whiteboard will eventually be framed with aluminium strip holder.
We also installed window frosting, adding frosting strips to some of the exposed glass.
This project represents and embodies why we strive so hard to innovate within the signage industry. You will see no better example of the functionality of a workspace being maximised with custom whiteboard inclusions -at least, not until we next outdo ourselves.
And perhaps that will be with your project?
Our dedicated team at Sydney Signs Portal awaits your contact.
Are you aware if the safety decals on your office glass partitions are of a standard that will actually prevent your staff and clients from walking into the glass and potentially sustaining injury?
Have you ascertained that your existing glass safety bands contrast sufficiently with your office interior to ensure there are no collisions with the glass? This can often occur when the office interior design is changed, or a wall mural or sign is added to an office, subsequent to the installation of glass safety marks.
As a business owner or manager, it is incumbent upon you to ensure that the windows and glass doors in your office comply with the minimum safety requirements. And, of course, it is desirable that your glazing mark decals be pleasing to the eye and incorporate appropriately with your office interior.
Too many people make the assumption that they are limited in their choice of glass manifestation safety decals. However, here at Sydney Signs Portal, we have a wealth of experience in designing and creating glass safety marks that reflect your company’s branding, colours and logo. All that, while still meeting glass safety requirements. It is that dual purpose – of safety and branding – that our team is always mindful of, and has spent years perfecting.
There are several ways that safety decal branding can be done. Your company logo or company name can be printed on frosted safety decals. Elements of your company branding can be cut out of the safety band, a process that offers countless variations. In fact, your options are endless and limited only by imagination.
We have a proud history at Sydney Signs Portal of specialising in designing, creating and installing custom made decals, wall graphics and signs. We have taken great care and developed a deep understanding of legal requirements to include safety decals among the list of products we specialise in tailoring specifically to your office.
It is often the smaller details that leave a lasting impression. Your clients will appreciate the creative approach of expressing branding in glass safety stickers, and be impressed with the accompanying attention to a pleasing aesthetic. Noticing that level of care on a feature as seemingly minor as a glass safety band, speaks clearly to client, telling them that they are in good hands.
One of the great privileges we have here at Sydney Signs Portal is participating in the growth and development of emerging interior design trends in contemporary offices.
One such office interior design trend is the use of geometric patterns for window frosting. Among which, the hexagon pattern is proving to be a particularly special approach as a window frosting solution.
Complimenting a variety of interior designs, hexagonal window frosting is both stylish and functional. Its geometry offers a wonderful business-like aesthetic, while providing the office privacy you require.
One of the great features of hexagonal window frosting is that it offers a wide range of variations. We can print your company colours on all of the hexagons – or just a selection – creating a striking effect of scattered elements. We also have the option of producing hexagons that are larger or smaller – depending on your preference – as well as choosing to fill or leave them empty. Working together, we are only limited by our collective imagination.
The experience our team at Sydney Signs Portal has with designing and installing window frosting over the years, presents a wonderful opportunity for your business to benefit greatly without the need for the type of costly investment normally associated with the interior design of your office.
Contact us today, and you too can discover why an increasing number of our clients are delighted with the style and appeal offered by hexagonal window frosting.
A Fortune 500 company with their headquarters based in Seattle, Washington, Expeditors is a company renowned for delivering highly optimised and customised supply chain solutions for their clients through a global network of 331 locations in 109 countries on six continents.
When their Sydney team, based in Banksmeadow, reached out to Sydney Signs Portal, their brief presented us with an opportunity to showcase our flare for interior design. Five meeting rooms were the canvas for our interior design specialist to work their magic, designing wall graphics to do justice to the inspiring quotes we were provided.
Somewhat appropriately, one of the featured quotes is by Aristotle, and reads: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence therefore is not an act but a habit.”
Looking deeper than the five meeting rooms at Expeditors that we adorned with elegantly designed wall decals, the refined creativity that went into the wall graphics we created – and the quality of the finished product – is reflective of the excellence that Sydney Signs Portal has made our habit.
There are few organisations out there that command respect on the international stage in the way that UNICEF does. Since 1946, UNICEF has championed the rights of children, ensuring that the most vulnerable humans in conflict zones and disaster-stricken regions receive the food, water, medical assistance and education they need. This tireless work is in pursuit of a world where no child is denied basic needs, joy and safety.
So it was quite an honour for Sydney Signs Portal to be contacted by Unicef to complete a major installation at their Sydney CBD office.
After receiving their brief and inspecting the site, it became quickly apparent that the work they were wanting was well beyond their budget. Normally we would advise a client on ways to modify their ideas to accommodate their budget – but this IS UNICEF. As part of our ethical commitment, it felt right to offer this esteemed client a substantial discount, and deliver finished results that would exceed their expectations.
Sensing an opportunity to deliver more than the requested office world map wall graphics – and in keeping with our reputation as market-leading innovators – we were excited to debut our very own invention: digital print on whiteboard. The result being a 4.2m x 2.3m world map wall mural with office whiteboard functionality. Using erasable whiteboard markers, this office wall map can be used to plot points, make notes and strategically plan any international operations.
We also installed a more traditional vinyl office whiteboard in one of the UNICEF offices. As whiteboard vinyl on white wall tends to blend, making the borders indistinguishable, it is not uncommon for people to accidentally write on walls. We resolved this issue by adding a custom black boarder to the office whiteboard. This also achieved a more aesthetically pleasing finish, resembling an old-school whiteboard.
While it may be on point or a trend for businesses to assign offices the names of prominent world cities – this carries far more meaning when UNICEF decides to do it. As is custom for room name glass stickers, we used vinyl glass decals. The classic font in black maintains the formal appearance and is timeless.
For the two meeting rooms requiring privacy, we installed classic simple window frosting.
When you are working with an organisation that gives so much to those who have so little, you feel compelled to give as much as you can. Beyond our time and materials; our expertise; our attention to detail; our ability to innovate – it was our an honour to give generously to UNICEF. The spectacular results only further confirm our commitment to excellence.
- The Look
Simple opaque frosting has its uses and value, but printed window frosting offers unique appeal to your business or workspace. Its soft, delicate appearance is pleasing to the eye, and will set your business apart from your competitors.
2. A Two-sided perspective
Take advantage of being able to see a print from both sides – the result being equally impressive inside or out.
3. Natural Light
Even with a print, your space will still enjoy the luminous comfort and functionality of ample light.
4. Diffused Light
Window Frosting’s light diffusing quality delivers a softer light that disperses throughout a room, gently wrapping objects and limiting the casting of harsh shadows.
5. Protects your Interior
By taking advantage of the sunlight protection offered by window frosting, you can save money on replacements, maintaining the quality appearance of your carpets, curtains and furnishings in a room.
Window Frosting is a cost-effective means to maintain control of the spaces in your business where peering eyes are permitted.
7. The Partition’s Friend
Frosting’s matte finish make it the perfect solution to ensure your glass partitions function as intended, but also lends itself to making your partitions a potentially eye-grabbing design feature.
Where we see glass, we see branding opportunities. Printed on frosting can turn your lifeless windows or glass partitions into a client-impressing, or employee-satisfying, branding feature of your workspace.
9. Transform your Space
Limited only by your imagination, with printed on frosting, you can add a vibrance and energy to a space that helps stimulate the productivity of your staff, and leaves a positive impression on customers.
