When you are part of a team that is blessed with innovative skill, it is often tempting to mine that rich vein of creative talent for all the projects you are presented with. But there are times when it is important to remind oneself that we don’t always need to reinvent the wheel.
And such was the case when Manly Health Centre reached out to us to design and install a large 3D sign for their reception wall. This was an opportunity for us to call upon classic business signage aesthetic: minimalist in approach without distractions.
The white acrylic lettering against the dark-grey wall offers perfect contrast. A crisp, clearly-defined announcement that conveys certainty and reassurance.
And the large 3D letters carry weight and imbue the setting with a sense of importance.
This type of business signage is a great example of effectiveness through simplicity.
The other component of this project was window frosting.
There are few places where privacy is of greater importance than a visit to the doctor. So this project would see Sydney Signs Portal installing classic quality privacy window frosting throughout the entire clinic.
We utilised a combination of fully frosted and partially-frosted techniques – depending on the client’s requirements for each space.
Fully-frosted glass provides 100% privacy, while still allowing the luxury of 95% of daylight to pass through. Partial frosting can protect certain rooms from unwanted eyes, or limit distractions while ensuring the space remains non-claustrophobic.
And, at the end of the day, all of these elements combine perfectly when installed to the high professional standards that are the trademark of Sydney Signs Portal.
It is always a pleasure to be contacted by returning clients – not just because it is an opportunity to build on an existing relationship, but it is also an endorsement of the work we do and the people in our team.
So it was wonderful to once again hear from Sydney-based cruise specialists, Ecruising, reaching out to us to complete a fantastic project.
This time around, Ecruising were looking to transform their office space with an epic 8-metre wall mural, depicting a tranquil forest setting. And we’re always impressed to see ambition and vision on this scale in a workspace.
Because with a wall mural of this nature, it’s not just a visual transformation that takes place, you are introducing a bold element with the power to increase productivity AND impress clients at the same time.
We are thrilled with the outcome of this spectacular digital wall print. If you too would like to experience the transformative power of an office wall mural, our team at Sydney Signs Portal awaits your contact.
Timeless – dare I say, a classic – either way, we love the way this old-school MDF board with digital print is now the centrepiece at Stussy’s retail store in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
One of the great lessons we’ve picked up while working with countless clients across a broad range of industries all these years is to appreciate their intimate knowledge of the spaces they inhabit. And as much as we pride ourselves on the creative solutions we can provide, on this occasion, our client suggested the use of a self-standing timber sign, as a better option than traditional wall graphics.
And at 1500mm W x 2000mm H – this digital print proves yet again that bigger is better, at least when you are wanting to maximise impact.
In a space filled with vibrant colours, this classic black & white art piece gently invites your eye, offering a welcoming resting place amid that sea of colour.
And having digital prints presented as art pieces in this way, imbues your retail space with the feeling of an art gallery, elevating the customer’s experience, and adding a heightened sense of value to the merchandise being showcased.
This entire project had an incredibly fast turnaround. The work was completed only hours before the client’s scheduled photo shoot in the store. Made possible by the swift logistics of our team, who seem to relish the pressure of such a fast ETA.
We are thrilled with the result – more importantly, so is a valued returning client, who is already ordering more signage.

What better way to have your office branding stand out than by taking advantage of the impactful effect of 3D signage. And such was the thinking of Sydney-based cruise holiday specialists, Ecruising Travel, when they contacted us to complete this interesting project.
Our brief was to create a large 3D sign, which to achieve, we would need to incorporate three different signage elements.
We used 6 mm acrylic – black for the suite number, and white with a coloured face for the rest of the signage – which included varying sizes of 3D lettering and numbers.
In completing this project, acrylic was our material of choice – which is most widely used in 3D signs – but 3D signage can also be fabricated from other materials, such as foam plastic, or aluminum composite panel for achieving a gleaming metallic finish.
The installation of 3D signage can be resolved by either screwing or adhering each element to the desired surface. And you can create a striking visual effect, by varying the gauge of your elements, creating a visual staircase of ascending height with your components.
Perhaps not utilised as often as it could be, 3D signs offer an approach to customised office branding that maximises impact. Please contact Sydney Signs Portal today to learn how your business could benefit from it.
The One Fine Day Wedding Fair launched in Sydney in 2012, but due to its growing popularity, has since expanded nationally.
One Fine Day describes itself as, “a refreshing alternative to the traditional bridal fair, showcasing a handpicked collection of sought-after vendors in the wedding field.”
So when one of this year’s Sydney vendors reached out to us, on short notice, to complete their event signage, we relished the opportunity to be part of this creative, inspiring event.
Our brief was to complete two large custom-made timber stands to display scenic digital prints, each consisting of three tiles.
Working to a very tight deadline, our skilled team constructed the timber stands for the stunning digital prints that showcased the spectacular harbour views of the exhibitor’s venue, no doubt catching the eye of attendees looking for somewhere special to host their wedding reception.
Quite simply, when you combine the highest quality prints, with well-crafted display stands – the result is, dare we say, a marriage made in heaven.
This was yet another example of the type of quality finished product, our skilled and experienced team, consistently produces on short notice.

When the Australian Cruise Group (ACG) reached out to us, we were excited by the prospect off working on yet another spectacular project, with what is fast becoming one of our favourite products to work with: perforated one-way vision film.
This was our third signage project with ACG in a year, having previously completed a project with showboat signs, as well as another with one-way vision window graphics.
So being contacted for this latest project only reinforced the value we place on earning that call from returning clients.
And what a project this was: 17m² of perforated window film was applied to the entire span of glass at the entrance to the ACG reservation office. This one-way vision signage and graphics allow those inside to easily see out, while restricting vision from outside and providing a quite stunning large scale advertising medium.
Time and again, Sydney Signs Portal is achieving amazing results with one-way vision window graphics. Contact us today if you too would like to see what all the fuss is about, or for any of your Sydney signage needs.

So when the guys at Good Games – an international group of gaming environments – reached out to us with three consecutive signage projects in two different locations – we brought our A game, with production and installation of window graphics and shop signs.
And how often are you blessed with being located near a prestigious signage company? Well such is the good fortune of Bean Brewers, our friendly neighbours in Chippendale, Sydney. It was a short distance to travel when we installed these classic looking window decals for them.
In sharing these stories with you, we hope to assist you through the minefield of options you have when it comes to selecting a signage company. And we are confident that year after year we have delivered and completed work to a consistent high-quality and reliability to give you the peace of mind of making Sydney Signs Portal your first port of call for signage needs in Sydney.
A solid feature wall signage was recently installed by our team for one of the consulting companies in Sydney.
It was a highly demanding project which had to meet a client’s high expectations together with challenging requirements for the glass feature- wall design.
As a result – in place of an empty glass wall there is a stunning feature branded with company signs.
A feature wall signage is an important element of a corporate culture and office branding. Its impact on the clients who visit your business is very often underestimated.
Clients, employees and business partners tend to develop more loyalty when a company invests in feature wall signs, wall decals and office graphics – important elements of business identity.
Occasionally there are projects we are approached to take on that require an extraordinary level of preparation. Such was the case when Uniting reached out to us to supply 200 large wall decals for their branches across Australia.
The scale of this project would see us working closely with the client to overcome specific challenges.
There was a need to perform multiple colour and material tests prior to the final print run. Getting the colour right was crucial to doing justice to the unique design. We also conducted experiments and called upon our years of experience to ensure we would supply a vinyl adhesive with the versatility of being suitable for a variety of wall surfaces.
This close consultative process with the client, coupled with the thoroughness of our preparations, resulted in a successful project, with Uniting being extremely satisfied with the wall decals we supplied.
And, ultimately, this is what we would like all potential clients to take from this: the degree to which we are prepared to go above and beyond what is expected to ensure your satisfaction.
Never underestimate the opportunity to leave a lasting positive impression with an already-valued – or prospective – visiting client, with your choice of reception signage.
As a reception is often the first point of contact for anyone visiting your business, good people and good signage are a must. And, in our experience, custom-made acrylic signage is the go-to option in the ongoing pursuit to impress clients.
You can quite literally stand out with our stand-off acrylic signs!
Stand-off technology will elevate the impact of your acrylic sign, by adding depth to the visual field, and a striking aesthetic. And what better way of taking your business to a new level than by adding a 3rd dimension!
Acrylic signs have the exquisite appearance of glass, while their physical volume convey a sturdiness; a reliability that reassures clients that your business is established and durable.
And acrylic signs come in a variety of solutions – all with their merits.
Classic acrylic panel
But your choices with acrylic signs do no end there. Acrylic comes in a range of appealing tones: clear, white, black or frosted.
And what these varied options with acrylic signage afford to you is a unique ability to truly capture the essence of your business and how it is perceived.
Throw in a price point that compares favourably with regular decal signage – along with the fact the acrylic signs can travel with you should your business relocate – and it beckons the question: what more convincing do you need?
Our experienced team at Sydney Signs Portal awaits your call.
