Signage needs to support your business during Covid-19
-
Order additional custom window signs to ensure the public is aware that you are open for business.
-
Give particular attention to maintaining up-to-date signage, removing any outdated or potentially misleading information from your shop or front office windows.
-
Be sure to order signage displaying any restrictions or social distancing policies that you have in your store or office to remind your clients of the safety precautions you have implemented.
-
Add window lettering that informs the public of your online trading. This will not only increase sales and supplement revenue but it better positions your business to take advantage of the booming online sector.
-
Update your opening hours sign to display any changes to your regular operating hours, making sure you do the same with the information you have stored with Google.
-
If your business is transitioning to appointment only, discuss what options are available to you with your signage supplier.
-
Be mindful not to overlook the need for new signage informing couriers where to leave deliveries. This avoids needless excess traffic in your business and is safer for everyone.
-
Remember – having a regular sale can help with your cash flow. Make sure that you order professional sale signs for each sale.
-
Maintain the cleanliness of your premises, especially the front windows, doors and signage. During these extraordinary times it is important you reassure the public with these basic standards.

Piccolina: Prismatic effect on gold window signs
This elegant project presents an opportunity to share with you our craft secret to creating a 3D prismatic effect.
Illusion is often described as ‘smoke and mirrors’ – and that certainly applies to this example of beautifully created crystal 3D lettering with a flat window decal.
But you don’t arrive at this stunning endpoint unless you have the desire for magic, combined with the right materials, and an experienced team at your disposal with a reputation for these quality solutions.
Our approach saw us combining metallic mirror gold and matte gold signage materials in the one artwork, carefully installed within the one window sign.
This deft work enabled us to attain the optical illusion of volume. This is the awesome effect that can be achieved with a creative approach to signage and graphics. This is the artistry of sign making.
This can also be done in any other colour, but using metallic vinyl signs really does maximise the visual impact.

Window Signage: the upside of thinking outside of the box
Given the fiercely competitive landscape that is the Sydney commercial sector, it is imperative that businesses seek a means to stand out to the discerning public.
And what approach is the most effective and delivers the most bang for your dollar?
The answer is simple: window signs and graphics.
And for a great example you need look no further than Stussy in Sydney. They know exactly how to capture the public’s attention and draw in customers with uniquely striking window signs and graphics. Which, of course, Sydney Signs Portal is always ready to help with.
Imagine walking down the street and being confronted with a lifelike dinosaur in a shopfront window – this is precisely what we mean with ‘thinking out of the box.’
It’s only natural that you would stop and be curiously drawn into the store when your attention is grabbed by this type of dramatic window signage.
So the message is clear: for too long you have taken the safe path that is found with ordinary signage – it’s time to embrace the extraordinary, and enjoy the rewards that follow when you decide that it’s time to be bold.
Let Sydney Signs Portal assist you with making this transition.
Function and Focus: One-Way Vision Business Branding
There is so much to love about this spectacular project we installed at a gym in Silverwater, Sydney. Grand in scale, one-way vision window graphics spanning 8 metres, comprising one continuous image, covering the entire facade.
Each of the large letters of the sign are man height and can be viewed from a great distance, perfectly taking advantage of the windows and glass door of the business frontage.
A multilayered effect was achieved perfectly.
For those outsides, the graphics create the impression that the entire gym is being viewed, when, in fact, the privacy of those within is actually being protected.
For those on the inside, the one-way vision film provides them with a view of the outside world, while enjoying the discretion of not having the outside world look in upon them.
The use of a one-way vision also rewards with an energy saving effect. The window graphics ensure the internal space remains cool by blocking the sun and heat – a particularly useful benefit for a gym.
We think this project perfectly showcases the impact and function that one-way vision graphics offer. Please take advantage of our experience with one-way vision by contacting Sydney Signs Portal today.
Signage in 3D: adding an impactful dimension to your office branding
What better way to have your office branding stand out than by taking advantage of the impactful effect of 3D signage. And such was the thinking of Sydney-based cruise holiday specialists, Ecruising Travel, when they contacted us to complete this interesting project.
Our brief was to create a large 3D sign, which to achieve, we would need to incorporate three different signage elements.
We used 6 mm acrylic – black for the suite number, and white with a coloured face for the rest of the signage – which included varying sizes of 3D lettering and numbers.
In completing this project, acrylic was our material of choice – which is most widely used in 3D signs – but 3D signage can also be fabricated from other materials, such as foam plastic, or aluminum composite panel for achieving a gleaming metallic finish.
The installation of 3D signage can be resolved by either screwing or adhering each element to the desired surface. And you can create a striking visual effect, by varying the gauge of your elements, creating a visual staircase of ascending height with your components.
Perhaps not utilised as often as it could be, 3D signs offer an approach to customised office branding that maximises impact. Please contact Sydney Signs Portal today to learn how your business could benefit from it.
One Fine Day Wedding Fair Event Signage
The One Fine Day Wedding Fair launched in Sydney in 2012, but due to its growing popularity, has since expanded nationally.
One Fine Day describes itself as, “a refreshing alternative to the traditional bridal fair, showcasing a handpicked collection of sought-after vendors in the wedding field.”
So when one of this year’s Sydney vendors reached out to us, on short notice, to complete their event signage, we relished the opportunity to be part of this creative, inspiring event.
Our brief was to complete two large custom-made timber stands to display scenic digital prints, each consisting of three tiles.
Working to a very tight deadline, our skilled team constructed the timber stands for the stunning digital prints that showcased the spectacular harbour views of the exhibitor’s venue, no doubt catching the eye of attendees looking for somewhere special to host their wedding reception.
Quite simply, when you combine the highest quality prints, with well-crafted display stands – the result is, dare we say, a marriage made in heaven.
This was yet another example of the type of quality finished product, our skilled and experienced team, consistently produces on short notice.
If you too are looking to catch the eye of potential clients at an expo or fair in Sydney, please contact Sydney Signs Portal today. Our experienced team awaits the opportunity to deliver the type of exceptional results that will ensure your event signage stands out from the crowd.
Cruising to spectacular results: one-way vision window graphics
When the Australian Cruise Group (ACG) reached out to us, we were excited by the prospect off working on yet another spectacular project, with what is fast becoming one of our favourite products to work with: perforated one-way vision film.
This was our third signage project with ACG in a year, having previously completed a project with showboat signs, as well as another with one-way vision window graphics.
So being contacted for this latest project only reinforced the value we place on earning that call from returning clients.
And what a project this was: 17m² of perforated window film was applied to the entire span of glass at the entrance to the ACG reservation office. This one-way vision signage and graphics allow those inside to easily see out, while restricting vision from outside and providing a quite stunning large scale advertising medium.
Time and again, Sydney Signs Portal is achieving amazing results with one-way vision window graphics. Contact us today if you too would like to see what all the fuss is about, or for any of your Sydney signage needs.
